Judy Thomas, an instructor at the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden in Richmond (VA), recently taught a botanical illustration class using PanPastel Colors and colored pencils. In the class she teaches skills and techniques with colored pencils and PanPastel: layering, blending, burnishing, under-painting etc.

Below is a work in progress image of the demonstration piece that Judy created using PanPastel for the underpainting with some colored pencils for details.
