INFO: PanPastel vs Pastel Stick Marks

Our intention in creating PanPastel Colors was not to replace pastel sticks, but to offer a completely new material for artists to use. PanPastel and soft pastel sticks create different marks (see below). Also, compared to sticks PanPastel is semi-transparent, mixable and low dust. PanPastel is a quick and clean way to achieve more uniform coverage for large blocks of color.

PanPastel Color & Soft Pastel Stick on Canson Mi-Teintes Paper

PanPastel Colors are fully compatible with pastel sticks so soft pastel sticks can be used to add opaque details & highlights to the final layers of a PanPastel painting.

*PanPastel Colors contain 40% more than average pastel sticks, & yield at least 4-5 times more coverage. (Average, based on a survey of leading brands. See PanPastel.com).
