TIP: Erasing

One of everyone’s favorite PanPastel characteristics is that they are fully erasable with any eraser. Yes, any eraser will work. Making them very forgiving as you can remove or correct the colors any time (prior to fixing).

The image below shows just some of the more widely available erasers that can be used:

Shown in the image above from left to right:

– PaperMate Tuff Stuff Eraser Stick for smaller more precise erasing. Great for subtractive techniques.

– Moo Eraser from NCTC

– Factis Vinyl Eraser from General Pencil

– Milan Gum Eraser from Canson Talens USA

– Kneadable Eraser – many brands – widely available

Note: some papers “grab” the color more than others, so occasionally a paper may not want to fully “give up” the colors, particularly the more staining colors e.g. Phthalo Green. However in most instances you should be able to completely eraser the colors.
