Online Class: Art Journal Preparation

“Art Journal Preparation” is a new online workshop with Pam Carriker. Pam teaches you how to successfully use dry media in your art journal by choosing the correct grounds and sealants. Along the way you’ll get portrait drawing lessons in PanPastel, charcoal, graphite, conte crayon, and Stabilo Marks-All pencil. Find out more about this video at artistsnetwork.tv.

“No longer do you have to wait for your art journal page to dry before turning to the next! Work alongside mixed-media artist Pam Carriker as she teaches Kristy Conlin how easy and fun it is to use dry media in an art journal. Beginning with a lesson in creating test swatches and selecting the correct grounds, you’ll then move on to creating art with black and white charcoal, Conté Crayons and the colorful medium of PanPastels. Pam will then teach you her best tips and tricks for sealing the pages so your work won’t smudge. Get instant satisfaction by adding dry media to your art journals!”
